Goods By Genesis – Terms & Conditions

Effective as of June 10th, 2025

By placing an order with Goods By Genesis, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions listed below. These policies exist to ensure clarity, fairness, and the best possible experience for both you and the business.

1. Order Placement & Payment

- A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your order. Your order is not booked until this deposit is received.

- The remaining 50% is due at the time of pickup or delivery.

- If the full balance is not paid at that time, the order will not be released unless a payment plan has been arranged and approved in writing beforehand.

- Failure to complete a payment plan, or failure to pay in full upon receipt of the order, will result in a permanent ban from placing future

orders with Goods By Genesis.

2. Order Turnaround & Rush Orders

- Standard order turnaround time is 24 to 72 business hours, depending on size, complexity, and current availability.

- Rush orders (placed with fewer than 5 business days' notice) may be accepted for an additional fee, which varies depending on the

dessert.

- Rush order availability is not guaranteed.

3. Pickup & Delivery (Albany, NY & Surrounding Areas)

- Pickup is available in Albany, NY. Exact pickup details will be provided the day before the date of pickup or delivery.

- Delivery is available and the fee varies based on location. Delivery must be confirmed at the time of ordering to ensure proper

coordination.

- Goods By Genesis is not responsible for damage, melting, or tampering once the order has been delivered or picked up.

4. Cancellations & Refund Policy

- Deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances.

- Orders canceled less than 48 hours before the scheduled pickup/delivery time are non-refundable in full.

- Rescheduling may be possible depending on availability but is not guaranteed.

5. Allergy Disclaimer – PLEASE READ

- Goods By Genesis operates in a kitchen that processes common allergens, including but not limited to:

Eggs, Dairy, Wheat (Gluten), Soy Peanuts & Tree Nuts

- Cross-contamination is possible. Goods By Genesis is not liable for any allergic reactions or health-related issues that may occur after

consuming our products.Customers must disclose all known allergies or dietary restrictions at the time of ordering.

- While we take precautions to minimize risk, all products are made in a home kitchen that is not allergen-free. Failure to do so releases

Goods By Genesis from all responsibility.

6. Design & Product Variations

- All desserts are handcrafted. Slight variations in color, size, or design may occur.

- Inspiration photos provided by customers are used for reference only; exact replication is not guaranteed.

- Goods By Genesis may make minor adjustments to designs or ingredients to ensure quality and consistency.

7. Photo Use & Promotional Rights

Goods By Genesis reserves the right to photograph all products for marketing and promotional purposes, including use on:

- Instagram, Pinterest & Facebook: @goodsbygenesis

If you prefer your order not be photographed or shared, please state this at the time of ordering.

8. Communication & Customer Service

- Concerns or issues must be reported within 24 hours of order receipt.

- Goods By Genesis is committed to resolving valid concerns with professionalism and fairness.

9. Event Orders & Policies

- For large-scale events, orders must be placed at least 2 weeks in advance, unless otherwise agreed upon.

- A detailed contract may be issued for high-volume or custom event orders.

- Goods By Genesis is not responsible for any issues caused by last-minute changes or venue handling after delivery or setup.

10. Payment Plan Terms

- Payment plans are available on a case-by-case basis and must be approved in writing before the order is fulfilled.

- Once agreed upon, you are expected to follow the scheduled payment dates strictly.

- Failure to complete the payment plan as agreed, especially after receiving your order, will result in a permanent ban from placing any

future orders with Goods By Genesis.

- Communication is key: if you're experiencing difficulties, please reach out immediately to discuss possible solutions before missing a

payment.
